The Movember Foundation
Most of you have heard of Movember, and many men around the globe celebrate November by not shaving and raising money for the charity.
Many people dont realise that Movember is not all about beards and raising awareness of testicular cancer.
Started back in 2003 with 2 guys Travis Garone and Luke Slatteryfrom Australia, discussing the idea over a beer (of course), Movember didn’t really get worldwide status until 2007 when Canada, New Zealand, Spain, UK and USA got on board. Today it is a fuuly fledged global charity doing awesome work for thousands of men world wide.
The Movember Foundation is all about mens general well being and they have raised over £402 million, funding over 1,000 programmes focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.
